Natural Ways to Lower Blood Pressure


According to the latest reports, nearly one in three adults has high blood pressure, also known as hypertension. Uncontrolled high blood pressure may damage organs in the body and increase the risk of coronary heart disease, stroke, kidney disease and vision loss. According to the ‘Great Indian BP’ survey conducted by Cardio logical Society of India, 33 percent of the Indian population is suffering from Hypertension. But 2/3 of them are not even aware of the disorder. 


Today, it is the leading cause of stroke, heart failure, and heart attack. It also points out the lifestyle factors like high intake of salt, dependency on junk food,  alcohol consumption, smoking, lack of exercise, stress and poor sleeping habits also increased the chance for this condition.We should avoid these lifestyle conditions first before taking any medicines.
Natural Remedies to reduce Blood Pressure:
  • Make a curry of Drumstick leaves and garlic and have it. It is good for BP.
  • Drinking 60 ml. of plantain stem juice(take the juice of small banana) thrice a day will reduce your BP.
  • When banana blossom is separated from its plantain,a liquid will come.Drinking that liquid will reduce your blood pressure.You can continue drinking for 7 to 11 days.
  • Roast the nutmeg then grind 3/4 of it,mix with honey and have it to reduce BP.
  • Use of garlic in people with high blood pressure have used 600-2400 mg of garlic powder or aged garlic extract in single or divided doses, taken for up to 12.
  • Eating dark chocolate or chocolate or cocoa products enriched with flavanols may slightly lower blood pressure in people with high blood pressure or pre-hypertensive people.
  • Found naturally in fish, eggs, fortified milk and cod liver oil and produced naturally during exposure to the sun, low levels of vitamin D may have a role in developing high blood pressure. 
  • It is estimated that 60 percent of people with essential hypertension may decrease their blood pressure to some degree by reducing their sodium intake.
  • Mind-body interventions, particularly yoga, meditation, qi gong, autogenic training, and biofeedback have been found to modestly lower high blood pressure and may be helpful as part of a treatment plan.
