Chiranjeevi to leave ‘Hand’ and, to capture ‘Lotus’!

Is it the time to recall that the BJP-led NDA government at the Center had given a green signal to the private airline funded by Chiru’s son and actor Ram Charan Teja, in the very recent past? As to what prompted NDA Government to sanction license to Ramcharan’s Trujet, in a short span? Any political game of BJP masterminds behind that? What is the benefit, the BJP is anticipating out of this favor done to Ramcharan? Now, these are the big questions. The fast political happenings taking place in Andhra Pradesh politics, especially within AP Congress seems there is something going to happen and in particular actor-turned politician Chiranjeevi’s very continuance in the party seems doubtful.  If the reports that are fast circulating in both the political and film circles are true, megastar Chiranjeevi, as he is fondly called by his fans and admirers, and sitting Rajya Sabha member of the Congress, is all set to join the BJP. For the last several months, ever since AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi has embarked upon reviving the sagging image of the Congress, he is upset with the state of affairs of the Congress in Andhra Pradesh where the party has almost been buried deep. He is also upset with Chiranjeevi, whose contribution to revive the party in AP is almost is nil.

At a recent meeting Rahul had with Chiranjeevi, an annoyed Rahul told the megastar in no uncertain terms that Megastar better focus more on giving a fresh lease of life to the Congress in AP. Rahul Gandhi reportedly asked Chiru to be focused more on the Congress which gave him a national status than on the preparations for Chiru’s 150th film. Upset over the way he was chided by Rahul Gandhi, Chiranjeevi wanted to shift his loyalties and this came in handy for the BJP to persuade him.

Moreover, Chiranjeevi merged his Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) with the Congress much to the annoyance of his fans and his brother and popular star Pawan Kalyan. This move by Chiranjeevi drove Pawan Kalyan into the arms of the BJP-TDP combine in the 2014 general elections. After the elections, the BJP has been trying every trick under its sleeve to bring in Chiru into its fold.

Now, it is the time to recall that the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre had given a green signal to the private airline funded by Chiru’s son and actor Ram Charan Teja. After this major development, and also the chances of the Congress revival in AP in the near future appearing to be bleak, Chiranjeevi, according to sources close to him, has decided to take the plunge and join the BJP. The BJP is expected to gain a lot in AP with Chiru’s entry coupled with Pawan Kalyan’s popularity. Thus, Chiru’s entry into the BJP will be a welcome gesture for both, Chiru and Pawan Kalyan’s fans in AP.
