Telangana State Finance Minister Etela Rajender on Monday presented a Rs 4,471.30 crore revenue surplus budget for 2017-18 with an expenditure outlay of Rs 1,49,646 crore. The committed expenditure from the budget outlay has been pegged at Rs 61,607.20 crore while expenditure under Pragati Paddu (expenditure on schemes) is Rs 88,038.80 crore. Presenting his fourth Budget, the Finance Minister said the State is projected to achieve a Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) growth of over 10.1 per cent during the current fiscal.

SC, ST Welfare Funds which remained unspent will be carried forward to the financial year 2017-18. Allocation of funds for SC, ST Welfare based on population ratio. Nothing to worry though power demand in the state has risen to 10,000 MW
